I guess this is an E-biography of me & my past sites. I really just need to sort my thoughts out right now. Why? I don't know, I just feel like I need to clean my brain. Razz

It was, wow, a long time ago when I discovered freewebs.com. If was sometime in 2004. I was 11 or 12 years of age. I don't think I had discovered Newgrounds yet. I mostly visited AlbinoBlackSheep.com. My dad was running an old business site. I always thought it was neat how he was doing something that could be accessed by millions. Anyway, freewebs.com. I created a site that as meant to host multiple chat rooms for different ages and such. It was located at http://www.freewebs.com/chatplace12/index.html. Of course, I didn't know any html back then, it all looked like a strange random code, so I used one of the default templates. I posted it on those random forums I signed up at. I even registered one of those .tk free domain names to make it seem more 'professional'. It never got traffic. Ever. So I took it down, and I moved on.

By now, it was, er, around December 2005 when I made another freewebs site. The Hell Dragon. What a cheesy name, right? Well I thought it was all 'cool' and all. Silly me. By now I had downloaded the trial version of Flash MX. So that gave me some more freedom to do what I wanted with the site. I found out that freewebs had an html site ability. So that's what I did. Now only knowing the very basic html, I downloaded a free site template and uploaded it. I got all excited. I thought that the site looked cooler than ever. I really thought my site was getting popular when it got 1000 hits. By now, I had joined up at Newgrounds, and I saw a topic to help some guy win his bet. The site had well over a million hits, so I thought it was good advertising. Yeah, that's where those 1000 hits came from. Anyway, I had made a forum for the site-which is now spammed up with Viagra ads-when I made another freewebs site. This one was meant to host programs that people made. You know, to get the popular... right. WTF Animations. Good times. Anyway, they both never became popular sites.

I soon later made another site. This time, though, it was hosted by 50webs.com. It took me a while-since I wasn't interested in it, really-to create an index page and stuff for the site. I created, using Google, a Newgrounds based search engine. This search was really what sparked my current site. By a mere stroke of luck, somebody on the NG BBS forums posted topic about this 50webs site, named "Return of the NG BBS Search". http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/681126
Thank god for my clever Edit Post sig. Can you guys now see why I am so attached to these edit posts sigs on NG? Anyway, this got me thinking. I expanded on the site. I got a better web host. And I set off to get me a domain name. This time, not a free .co.nr or .tk domain name, but a top level .com/.net/.org one. I found his clever little site that gave you a domain if you joined up to sites that were advertised. So I did it. At the end of the day, I had burned out all the free ads and I signed up for a domain name. Platinumgrounds.net. At first it got disapproved, but I quickly filled my profile with correct info and submitted a ticket. I got the points back, and I signed up for the domain again for two years. You have no idea how shocked/happy I was when I got the domain. I had already signed up to this site, right? Yes, I had. Smile Well, now I have my site and just recently I 'finished' the layout.

Wow, I've been around website making since I was in 6th Grade. Now I'm a sophomore in high-school (10th grade). It's impressive how time flies.

Do you guys have similar experiences? Or am I the only one?

Download utorrent and search for Dreamweaver on torrentspy.com or something. I'm sure you'll find something. Definitely not what I did, but it should work. Also, make sure to read the comments.
